Two new fall favorites! Review by Kayleena :)!
Essie Nail  Lacquer in Chinchilly and Maybelline lipstick in Fifth Ave. Fuchsia.

Chinchilly!
The nail lacquer is great, I had heard a lot about it on tumblr and youtube so I decided to try it myself. It’s very opaque and dries fairly fast. The brush is a good size for a smooth application and the formula is very creamy. The brush picks up a LOT of product, more than any other polish I’ve seen, so you have to make sure you wipe enough off at first. That would be my only complaint :P! The color I picked, Chinchilly, is a very pretty muted grey.
I rate it a good 9/10 :)
Price: 7 bucks!

Fifth Ave. Fuchsia!
This is my first Maybelline lipstick and I’d have to say I love it! The color is so bright and vibrant and I’ll most definitely be wearing it all through fall. It’s a very true fuchsia and the color lasts for hours. It does stain your lips a bit, so watch out. :)
I rate it a 10/10
Price: 5 bucks.

Green and purple color-block tutorial with Kayleena!

Easy, easy, easy.
1. Pink/purple base (Rimmel stir it up)
2. Buff purple eyeshadow into crease, avoid lid. (parfait amour, MAC)
3. Pat on green eyeshadow onto lid, blend the harsh line between crease and lid. (Steamy, MAC)
4. Fill inner corner with mint green color, blend with previous green. (MAC.. unknown, the sticker fell off xD)
5. Line eyes with black eyeshadow, add mascara.
VOILA!

Fall trends with Kayleena number 4: Graphic Eyeliner! (AND, ELF cream liner review!)

Who would’ve thought that a super thick, matte eyeliner would be so popular? I think it’s a hate/love relationship for me, sometimes I adore how it looks, others, I do not! This look really caught my eye though (no pun intended) and I just absolutely adored it!
Obviously this is a very thick matte liner,  but instead of a wing, I have a squared-off edge! I didn’t apply mascara because I want this look to be focussed on just the eyeliner and have a more modern simplistic feel. I saw a few of the runway models sporting this look for fall and I had to try it myself!
How did I get it?
1. Pulled my eyelid taught so that I could swipe a thick long line of black cream liner to my outter corners. (elf cream eyeliner)
2. After extending the liner past my outer corners JUST A SMIDGE, I took my brush, held it upright, and drew a straight line upwards, right up to the holy heavens.
3. I brought the line that I drew up to about my crease, down to my inner corner, decreasing the thickness as I went.
4. To set, and make this look matte, I patted on a matte black eyeshadow and sharpened the edges with a small flat brush. (blue my mind, MAC)
5. To finish this look, I moisturized my lips and then swept on some long lasting lipstick in a neutral rose tone. ( passion preserved, MAC)

Elf Cream Eyeliner review:
Now, I’d have to rate this eyeliner a 4/10. Yeah, I really don’t like it much. I got it when I was a bit tight with money and I ran out of my other cream eyeliner, it was 3$ vs my regular liner at 19$. In all honesty it feels like that really, really, really shitty makeup you get for halloween to make clown faces. Yeah, the dollar store grease paint. It doesn’t last long, it smears, and it’s impossible to remove without spending a large amount of time scrubbing vigorously. I do not like to treat my poor sensitive ‘balls that way :(. I give it a 4 because it glides on smoothly and if you set it with a powder it isn’t too bad.

Just my opinion, for people who’ve tried it, did it work well for you?

Fall trends with Kayleena, number 3: Metallic smokey eye!
(second picture from the web somewhere (obviously the one that’s not me))
A classic look with metallic makes it a bit more edgy. All over the runway, makeup artists were showcasing new takes on the smokey eye, the most popular being a metallic one. (others include: green, purple, gold, orange, etc) This look was super easy! Here’s how I got it:
1. primed eyes with Painterly Paint Pot, MAC.
2. buffed a black eyeshadow into crease with a large fluffy brush. Blue My Mind eyeshadow trio, the black color, MAC brush from Costco, Kirkland brand. :D
3. Used a dark bronze color to blend out the black into the brow, then patted the color onto the outer half of my eyelid, AND on outer lower lash line, Spectacle of Yourself, mega metal eyeshadow, MAC.
 4. Used a lighter orange-y bronze on inner half of eyelid, blended with darker color, and the inner half of lower lash line, Paparazz-she, mega metal eyeshadow, MAC.
5. White eyeshadow for brow highlight.
6.Popped a super shimmery light gold loose shadow in corner, Sunshine, LA Colors.
7. Lined upper lash line and lower lash line with ELF cream eyeliner with a eyeliner brush.
6. Put mascara on! Dazzle Glass, MAC

And there we have it! An almost pro smokey eye. You girls/guys will probably do better than I have. Once again, I’m blogging at 1 am. :P

Fall trends with Kayleena number 2: RED WINE LIPS!

A super large fall trend, along with orange lips, are deep red “vampy” lips. They don’t sparkle like Edward but they have the fierceness of the werewolf dude. Dear gosh that was lame. Anyways, I applied this lipstick with a brush to get a precise line around my lips and that’s it!

I used my FAVORITE lipstick line, Revlon Color Burst in 095 Crimsom. It’s a super smooth, deep red with not shimmer but a bit of glossy shine. I love it like I love having hair.
I would almost always pair a red lip with a nude face, or a softer smokey eye. Otherwise you can get that ” I try to hard ” look, or my favorite, ” I look like a whore. ” Whatever floats your boat!

-Love, Kayleena.

FALL TREND NUMBER 1.

Orange eyeshadow.
I attempted to create a look that wasn’t only wearable but it included a faint, but still there, trend. That would be the boxy modern application of the color. :)

Yes, it’s a summery color, but look around during fall, my darlin, by golly, there’s quite a bit of orange!

It’s my favorite color so I have to justify wearing it all over the place. But really, it was seen on Rodarte, Donna Karan, Prada and many other high fashion models. Not only is it fresh and exciting, it’s also warm and inviting. (; wink wink, look at dem sexy balls. Eyeballs that is.

How I got it? Easy peasy!
1. Primed eyes with Painterly Paint Pot, Mac.
2. Swept on Samoa Silk, a light peachy color, over lids and up to eyebrows on inner corners. Mac.
3. Patted an orange eyeshadow in a triangular shape with flat shader brush on outer corners to keep up with the modern boxy trend but then I softened them up with a little bit of the light peachy color I used earlier, Samoa Silk, using my big fluffy brush. Mac.
4. layered on a volumizing mascara and then finished off with a lengthening on the tips.
5. Oh yes, and I lined my inner rims because it’s 3 am and they were a bit reddish and made me look like a crack whore.

ANYWHO, if you have any questions, feel free to ask :D

Au revoir, lovelies.
