Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balmstain Review
I purchased mine at Rite-Aid for $8.99 USD
Maybe it was the color that I purchased but it wasn’t very pigmented. I love the idea of tinted balms but this one wasn’t exactly what I was looking for. It is very… neutral; I don’t have anything bad to say about it but nothing that great either!
I have to say that I do like the packaging, the fact that it is retractable is fantastic! The untouched product resembles a crayon and it’s cute, however I can tell that when it is dull it will be a bit thick for some peoples lips to comfortably apply the color.
Upon first application it has a light minty scent and a bit of a tingle, it’s nice, nothing overbearing. It reminds me a lot of Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip-balms!
Like I said, the color isn’t very opaque but that may be a plus for some people. The finish is glossy, but not too glossy.
Pros:
Cons:
My personal rating: 7.5/10… This one is hard to rate! There is nothing “wrong” with it really, it’s just not exciting to me like their lip butters!
Will I repurchase?: Only with some extreme coaxing to a specific color!
Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti Fruitti
Revlon Lip Butter in Candy Apple.
Revlon Lip Butter in Creamsicle.
Settles in lines a bit, the only lip butter of my 4 to do that, but if applied vertically rather than horizontally it diminishes the “settled” look almost completely!
Similar to Mac! Nude lipstick edition.
Sorry for the extremely poor quality of photos and really messy lipstick tubes! Gross! I’ll explain that later on.
Let me introduce you, the two lipsticks that I will be comparing today are: Revlon Colorburst lipstick in Soft Nude (left) and Mac’s Creme d’ Nude (right).
Revlon Colorburst lipstick in Soft Nude is a very creamy and soft lipstick, hence the breaking of the lipstick and the excess all over the tube. It makes for an ugly appearance but don’t let that differ you from the quality of the lipstick! As you can see in the swatch, it’s extremely creamy and has a very high opacity. Exactly some of the qualities that we look for in lipsticks, right? Along with a wonderful application, it has a very long wear.
Now lets get down to the awesome part. Revlon colorburst lipsticks generally retail for 5-8 dollars in the USA while Mac on the other hand is $14.50. Purchasing Revlon’s Soft Nude will give you a near color to a very famous Mac nude lipstick for around half of the price! I think it’s an awesome deal.

Haul time!
I stopped at Grocery Outlet, which is a super awesome- yet ghetto- place to buy some groceries and home things. They always have drugstore makeup there FOR SUPER CHEAP! As you can see, I bought 3 normally 8-9 dollar items for less than 3 dollars! Along with the blush/bronzer/highlight I purchased a Maybelline eyebrow pencil and and Elf eyeshadow primer which I’ve never tried before and will soon have a review on.
The Revlon bronzer was a bit dissapointing. Very sheer and a very odd texture but it is blendable and would look amazing on fair skin for a subtle tint of color.
The Maybelline “blush” in Stage Glow is a glittery highlight color that I’m not sure what I’ll use for… I’ll find something!
The other Maybelline blush is this GORGEOUS deep red color. When applied lightly on fair skin it gives the appearance of a sunburn, which in some cases in my opinion can almost be a bit sexy! a bit of bronzer and a VERY light dusting of this on the bridge of your nose and cheek bones with liven up that wintery gray colored skin I have in a jiffy. It’s also perfect for the “hi I’m sexy and dirty because I’m in the hit TV series of Lost.”
They eyebrow pencil is just an eyebrow pencil, I love Maybelline for these!
Anything you’d guys like me to talk about more in depth? :)
Kayleena’s MUST HAVE spring lips! What’s trending for your smoochers this spring?
I managed to go through my lipsticks and pull out a few ( I know that a lot of you are probably rolling your eyes at this…) lipsticks that I feel like are must have colors for this spring!
As we all know, spring is awesome. It’s full of beautiful flowers and brisk winds that will tousle your hair into a sexy mess in every romantic comedy possible.
In reality, in my drab and dreary world of Oregon, we just get some more rain and occasionally some beautiful blossoming trees like above. (photo taken by me.)
So, since my reality is so awfully boring, I LOVE to spice it up with some bright lippies! My absolute number one must haves are bright pinks.
Bright Pinks
(pictured on top row from left to right)
Nyx Matte Lip Cream in Addis Abah, Milani Rose Hip, Mac Show Orchid
-I absolutely love Nyx’s Matte Lip Cream for these reasons:
-Milani Rose Hip is SO bright and just wonderful. I can’t imagine spring without it! At only 3 bucks a pop, it’s more than worth it.
-Show Orchid is very similar to Rose Hip, it’s just a bit more blue and thick since it’s an amplified cream. Wonderful as well!
Corals
(Second row from left to right)
Covergirl Temptress, Wet n Wild It’s A Girl, Mac Crosswires.
-Covergirl Temptress is a gorgeous pinky coral color that is super creamy!
-Wet n Wild It’s a Girl is extremely similar to covergirl temptress, and a fraction of the price!
-Mac Crosswires is much more orange than the other two, it’s still one of my favorites.
Oranges/peaches
(third row from left to right)
Revlon Siren, Revlon Colorburst in Peach, Mac Shy Girl.
-Revlon Siren is a plain orange color that packs a lot of punch!
-Revlon Colorburst in Peach is a soft creamy peachy color, but more orange than Mac’s Shy Girl.
-Mac’s Shy Girl is a very creamy orange color, almost similar to that of a creamsicle!
Purples
(fourth row from left to right)
Nyx Power, Mac Up The Amp, Revlon Lip Butter in Bubble Gum
-Nyx Power is a pastel purple that is really unique!
-Mac’s Up The Amp is a dark but bright purple that is perfect to match a white sundress… In my mind ;)
-Revlon Lip Butter in Bubble Gum is sheer enough for everyday wear but is more of a cutesy funky color!
Other Pinks
(Fifth row from left to right)
Nyx Strawberry Milk, Mac’s Saint Germain, Mac’s Lovelorn
-Nyx Strawberry Milk is a very milky light pink, it’s very easter-ish to me!
-Mac’s Saint Germain is a blue based milky bubble gum pink.
-Mac’s Lovelorn is a soft, yet gorgeous and glossy rosey pink. Perfect for everyday wear!
Revlon Lip Butter in Gum Drop Review!
I was so skeptical about purchasing these lip butters because I saw everybody’s swatches and they just looked so sheer… But then, I saw this color and had to have it!
It can be described a pale lilac color with pink undertones… JUST the thing I’ve been looking for ( you all know that for those who look at my blog often xD). It’s not as opaque as the one I’d like but it will do for now! It has a very slight shimmer that flashes violet. You can hardly see it though.
I was really excited to try this one once I got it, I tore it open as soon as I landed at the casa. I applied it on my lips and knew right then that me and Gum Drop were going to be best friends for a long time.
It’s so smooth, creamy, and moisturizing! Just like everybody had been saying! I have no clue why I didn’t buy one sooner… Now I can’t wait to get more!
The only thing I didn’t like much about it is that it takes quite a bit of oomph to get a color pay off like the one in the photo above.
As you can see in the photo were I have the swatches, the top swatch is of the lip butter with one stripe. It’s very smooth and even and glossy, but it’s really sheer. The second one is of some vigorous “back and forth” motions (that’s what she said…) but it produces a lovely color. I can’t be too upset because these are basically a tinted lip balm/lipstick hybrid, so the color pay off won’t be of a regular lipstick.
It’s still just SO pretty!
I also loved how its packaged, with the slanted tube. A lot of my Revlon Colorburst lipsticks have fallen off of their packaging because the lipsticks are too soft. Revlon needs to make all of their lipsticks in this packaging!

Revlon Colorburst Grape- $7-9, Deep purple lipstick with a sort of glossy finish! Is slightly sheer.
Revlon Va-va Violet- $7-9, The name says it all! When I apply it on myself it has sort of a waxy texture, maybe it was just mine but on darker skinned beauties it looks absolutely ravishing and sexy!
Covergirl Embrace- $5-7, This lipstick is really unique! It’s a purple-y pink with an obvious purple shimmer. It’s hard to see in the photo but in person its VERY multidimensional. I’m very impressed with this lipstick! When blotted it has a lovely pink raspberry color!
NYX Power- $4-5, Pale, opaque, almost lilac color. It’s a bit muted with a greyish tint to it. Very unique!
MAC Bubble Gum- $14.50 This is slightly pink but it’s in the purple section because next to my pink lipsticks it’s much more purple looking! Frost finish gives it a nice sparkly look (;

From left to right: MAC “O”, Revlon Coco Cravings, Maybelline Barely There, Mac Viva Glam V, NYX Cirque, MAC Creme D’ Nude, Revlon Nude Attitude, Revlon Soft Nude, MAC Shy Girl.
Mac “O”- $14.50, A plumy brown color with a gold shimmer to it. It’s truly a unique color, I haven’t seen one like it anywhere else! It can be toned down with using a lip brush or worn all out with a nice coating of it.
Revlon Coco Cravings-$7-9, A matte brown lipstick with an orange undertone. It doesn’t work well for my skin but for other’s it’d look beautiful!
Maybelline Barely There- $5-7, A frosty beige-y nude that looks perfect on any skin color.
Mac Viva Glam V- $14.50, Soft pink-y brown with a light frost finish. Is a very wearable lipstick.
Nyx Cirque- $4-5, An almost gold-like nude that has a really fantastic feel to it! Extremely smooth and moisturizing. Just tastes a bit funny! Looks REALLY great on fair skinned girls with red hair… I mean it just looks AMAZING! Of course on other people too, but that’s who I’ve found it looks most striking on.
Mac Creme D Nude- $14.40, Pinky nude, very creamy, is my favorite nude lipstick. Very similar to Revlon Soft Nude.
Revlon Nude Attitude- $7-8, A matte nude with peachy undertones.
Revlon Soft Nude- $7-9, A peachy/pink creamy nude.
Mac Shy Girl- 14.50, A more peachy nude that looks great on anybody. I love it!

It was requested a bit ago ( I’ll insert the name of the person when I find it! ^.^) that I’d show you guys my makeup. In no way shape or form do I want you guys to think this is bragging :( It’s just to show you guys swatches and maybe get an idea of something you may like!
from left to right: Maybelline Fifth Ave. Fuchsia, MAC Show Orchid, MAC Lovelorn, Rimmel Pink Blush, Revlon Colorburst Baby Pink, MAC Viva Glam GAGA, NYX Strawberry milk.
Maybelline Fifth Ave. Fuchsia- 5-7$, A dark, but bright pink that has a cream finish. It’s very versatile and I believe it will work for most skin types!
Mac Show Orchid-14.50$, A neon pink in an amplified finish. It stains your lips, will last a long time, and is such a cool color! It’s a bit on the crazy side so if you don’t like experimenting, stay away!
Mac Lovelorn- 14.50, A soft and slightly sheer neutral pink with a lustre finish. This color actually is nearly a match for my natural lip color, just with a bit more of a pink tinge! I love to wear it with a more dramatic eye.
Rimmel Pink Blush- 5$, A nice warm pink with a cream finish. Goes great with just a simple cat eye. Not too dramatic, not too drab!
Revlon Colorburst- 7-9$ A light pink with a frost finish. Do not like it, so I can’t recommend it too you guys… I’ve tried so hard to make it work for me and it just doesn’t! Plus it’s super messy, as you can tell!
Mac Viva Glam Gaga- 14.50$ Cool bubble gum pink that adds a perfect pop of color to anybodies lips. I have yet to see it look bad on anyone!
Nyx Strawberry Milk- 4-5$, Very light and opaque pink. Gives a very mod look and would look WONDERFUL on darker skinned beauties. :)
