Kayleena’s MUST HAVE spring lips! What’s trending for your smoochers this spring?

I managed to go through my lipsticks and pull out a few ( I know that a lot of you are probably rolling your eyes at this…) lipsticks that I feel like are must have colors for this spring!

As we all know, spring is awesome. It’s full of beautiful flowers and brisk winds that will tousle your hair into a sexy mess in every romantic comedy possible.

In reality, in my drab and dreary world of Oregon, we just get some more rain and occasionally some beautiful blossoming trees like above. (photo taken by me.)

So, since my reality is so awfully boring, I LOVE to spice it up with some bright lippies! My absolute number one must haves are bright pinks.

Bright Pinks
(pictured on top row from left to right)
Nyx Matte Lip Cream in Addis Abah, Milani Rose Hip, Mac Show Orchid

-I absolutely love Nyx’s Matte Lip Cream for these reasons:

  • It’s matte
  • It’s a cream
  • It’s SO VERY PINK
  • It’s easy to apply and easy to wear!

-Milani Rose Hip is SO bright and just wonderful. I can’t imagine spring without it! At only 3 bucks a pop, it’s more than worth it.

-Show Orchid is very similar to Rose Hip, it’s just a bit more blue and thick since it’s an amplified cream. Wonderful as well!

Corals
(Second row from left to right)
Covergirl Temptress, Wet n Wild It’s A Girl, Mac Crosswires.

-Covergirl Temptress is a gorgeous pinky coral color that is super creamy!

-Wet n Wild It’s a Girl is extremely similar to covergirl temptress, and a fraction of the price!

-Mac Crosswires is much more orange than the other two, it’s still one of my favorites.

Oranges/peaches
(third row from left to right)
Revlon Siren, Revlon Colorburst in Peach, Mac Shy Girl.

-Revlon Siren is a plain orange color that packs a lot of punch!

-Revlon Colorburst in Peach is a soft creamy peachy color, but more orange than Mac’s Shy Girl.

-Mac’s Shy Girl is a very creamy orange color, almost similar to that of a creamsicle!

Purples
(fourth row from left to right)
Nyx Power, Mac Up The Amp, Revlon Lip Butter in Bubble Gum

-Nyx Power is a pastel purple that is really unique!

-Mac’s Up The Amp is a dark but bright purple that is perfect to match a white sundress… In my mind ;)

-Revlon Lip Butter in Bubble Gum is sheer enough for everyday wear but is more of a cutesy funky color!

Other Pinks
(Fifth row from left to right)
Nyx Strawberry Milk, Mac’s Saint Germain, Mac’s Lovelorn

-Nyx Strawberry Milk is a very milky light pink, it’s very easter-ish to me!

-Mac’s Saint Germain is a blue based milky bubble gum pink.

-Mac’s Lovelorn is a soft, yet gorgeous and glossy rosey pink. Perfect for everyday wear!

Kat Von D Poetica Palette inspired look!It was requested by a few of you to do some looks with the Poetica Palette! This was just a super easy one that I came up with in a few moments. As you can see, there really isn’t much skill needed to complete this! What I used:
Poetica Palette
Black Track Fluidline Mac
Buxom Lash Mascara
UD primer potion in sin
What I did!1. Prime them ‘balls baby, because we don’t want this look going anywhere!2. Applied Chandler, a bronze-y orange into my crease and a bit above.3. Blended Chandler into You Alone, a soft white color as a brow highlight.4. Applied babe, that gorgeous duo-toned purple onto my lid with a damp brush! (I used studio fix plus from mac, you can just use some water too!)5. Applied Shiba, a dark plummy purple into lashes and blended up. Also applied on lower lashes.6. Took a mixture of Tijuana, a black with orange glitter, and Wonderland, a deep purple with purple glitter, and blending lightly into crease, making a near seamless transition between my lid and my brow bone!7. Lined my eyes.8. Added some mascara! And voila, done!

Wet ‘N’ Wild You Had Me At Hello Palette Review with Kayleena!

Numero uno:
These feel like velvet. It’s super cool!
I really liked these shadows, the only thing I can say that I dislike about them is the stupid words imprinted on them, but besides that, they are GREAT.

Cost: $4.57
Packaging: meh, it’s okay. Kind of an awkward size for my storage-ing but who cares?
Colors: I love all of the colors, especially the BRIGHT turquoise! The color pay off is great and has a great feel.
Coming from a girl who wouldn’t touch drugstore makeup for many years, this is a f**king amazing feat.
Amount of product for price: Obviously great! Eight eyeshadows for less then 5 dollars? Yes please!

Another thing that I found that I didn’t like much was that two of the colors ( the darkest blues) don’t pat very well onto your eye. They are a TEENY bit chalky. Other than that, they are wonderful. :D
I would most definitely buy more, I rate this a 9/10!

Wet ‘n’ Wild Blue Had Me Hello look no. 1 with Kayleena: Turquoise Night Out!

I picked up this palette today and you can find my review on it here: http://makeupfortheweak.tumblr.com/post/11604964464/wet-n-wild-you-had-me-at-hello-palette-review
I love it and I came up with this super easy but purdy look. ;D Excuse the really, really, REALLY crappy camera quality. Once I get home I’ll update the photos with my really nice camera. Stupid iPhones. :P
These photos seriously do not do the makeup justice :(

Anyways, this is what I did!
Eyes:
1. Used the “crease” dark blue shadow on the right side over my whole lid and a bit above the crease and underneath the eye.
2. Picked up the “brow bone” color on the right side to blend out the dark blue on the crease area.
3. Patted the turquoise color on the center of my lids, blending it in with the dark color. I also placed this in the middle of my lower lid and blended!
4. Lined eyes with the matte black color
5. Added some mascara.

Face:
1. Foundation (some random stuff of my grandmas from Clinique since I didn’t bring mine :()
2. Concealer, Maybelline fit.
3. Contour and highlight Mac

Lips:
1. Soft nude, Revlon
2. Strip, Jemma Kidd

Brows:
1. Benefit Brow Kit

Starry Night Halloween Nails with Kayleena!

I picked up this polish the other day ( the blue one ) it’s Wet ‘n’ Wild Fast dry polish in Teal of fortune. It has a GORGEOUS blue/green base with a green and turquoise sparkle… Just like my retainer ;D mwahha.
It was only 2 bucks and at Rite Aid it’s buy one get one 50% off so I got this other cool color that I’ll show you guys later. ;D!
I’m starting to really like Wet ‘n’ wild polishes! They are so cheap but don’t chip, and don’t fade. They only take 2-3 coats to apply, take 60 seconds to dry, and come in really fun colors!

Anywho, this is what I did :)
Painted my nails with the blue sparkly color for the “sky”
Drew on some stars with my white striper brush, and a moon on my ring finger.
Colored in some of the stars with some silver polish.
Added some random “stars” with a bobby pin and the silver polish… Just made a few randomly sized dots on each nail around the real stars. :D

And that’s it.
I really, really, really love halloween.
I can’t stress it enough.

I went to every store in town in search of either China Glaze’s or OPI’s glow in the dark polishes… CAN’T FIND THEM ANYWHERE.
Ordering offline. >.> Bleh.

Well, more to come as always!

Vampire fangs nail tutorial with Kayleena!

Not even gonna try to make up something corny about these babies. xD They are a bit messy, they looked much better before I added the black but from a distance they were okay!
:)

How to:
1.paint nail black.
2. Paint tip white.
3. draw your fangs and your teeth with short tiny strokes!
4. Paint on your gums and dab a bit of red on the fangs.
5. Draw around teefers with black :D and seal with top coat.

Cute jeweled spider web nails with Kayleena!
(ignore the gimp nail… >.> stupid middle finger… if I could flip my own middle finger off I would.)
Soooo… >=D MWAHA. I think these are so cute! Maybe it’s just the sparkles, but whatever. I just love Halloween.

What you need:
Black nail polish
White striper/ white polish with brush
Clear coat
Jewels! I got mine for about 2 dollars (Yes, that WHOLE THING) at Michael’s. WAYYY CHEAPER than the nail jewels and they do the same thing.

How to:
1. Paint nails solid black (or purple… that’d be cute @.@)
2. Draw lines extending from one area of your nail. Except for on your ring finger, draw one line straight down with three smaller lines on either side of the end of the line.
3. Fill in those lines with smaller curved lines to make your web!
4. Paint with top coat.
5. You can leave it at painting with the top coat, or you can add jewels or more colors to spice up your web and spider! I applied some jewels randomly on my web (clear), and a big purple one for my spiders body, and some small blue ones for the ends of it’s legs!
6. Seal jewels with top coat.

You can completely customize this look to your liking. :D Have fun!
