Tutorial: Matte Neon Pink Lips(camera didn’t quite capture the neon-ness of this!)Products used: Mac Saint Germain and Magenta Madness Pigment.Steps:
Apply lipstick with lip brush to avoid too much product, too much will cause the pigment to get all gross and slide around.
Pat pigment on with a flat and compact eyeshadow/concealer brush.
Remove fall out, straighten lines, enjoy!
This is a great use for pigments you may have no clue what to do with on your eyeballs ;)Use any color!

How to Contour and Highlight- The completely not scary way using drugstore products!

Highly requested tutorial! I know it sounds scary to contour your face. There is so many things that can go wrong! But if you follow this tutorial, it’s pretty fault free, unless you use too much product!

(Top three from left to right)
1. First step is to start with your foundation, or normal face. Here I am, sans any makeup besides a light layer of foundation! I look weird, huh? ;)

2. Find where your cheek bones are! You may say “oh, I don’t have any” but yes you do. Every single human does! I use a brush handle to find mine because it gives a straight line for me to go off of.

3. Right where the bottom of your cheek bones are, which is where your brush handle should’ve been, draw a line. I use a tapered blending brush to draw my first line, It gives a more chiseled effect and gives you less of a chance to get that ” my face is dirty” look!

(second row, left to right)
4. Blend that line out! I use an angled contour brush because it gets it just right for me. The trick is to not blend up, blend down. You can add some more product on your brush to help it blend easier, but not too much! Also, not pictured, but you can contour your jawline too. Just sweep some of your product underneath your jaw from one ear to the other!

5. Apply your highlighter to the tops of your cheek bones and your temples. You may also add it to the top half of the bridge of your nose, a bit to the middle of your forehead, and your chin. This is where you catch light, so we are going to HIGHLIGHT it! :D I use a liquid because I feel like you get better results.

(bottom row, left to right)
6. Blend out! This is what the final product looks like on me. Yay! No more flat cheeks!

7. Is a photo of the products I used. Wet N Wild Eyeshadow palette in Vanity. The matte colors only! And I used ELF’s Shimmering Facial Whip in Lilac Petal.

Basic Smokey Eye using only 5 products!

“Whatever you do on top, you do the same on the bottom!”

What I used:

  • MAC paint pot in Ground Work (matte light brown)
  • MAC Eyeshadow in Beauty Marked (blackened red with red sparkle)
  • MAC Eyeshadow in All That Glitters (Champagne shimmer)
  • Maybelline Master Drama Gel Liner (black eyeliner)
  • Buxom Lash Mascara (black voluminous mascara)

What I did:
1. Primed eyes and covered lid with Mac’s Paintpot in Groundwork. Focused on eyelids but blended out to browbone and extended past my eyebrow in a v shape. Also applied underneath my eyes.
2. Swept Beauty marked all over eye.
3. Packed beauty marked on eyelid and bottom lashes, keeping in mind that whatever I did on the top, I have to do on the bottom!
4. (not pictured!) Blended out the edges of my bottom lashes and my eyelid and highlighted with All That Glitters eyeshadow.
5. Applied Mascara and Eyeliner for my finishing touches!

Remember that a smokey eye is ALWAYS an eye-look that is darkest at the lashes and just sort of “smokes” out to your brow bone. There are many ways to execute the smokey eye look and they have been around since makeup has been used! The Egyptians were large lovers of the smokey eye — how could they not be?

How To Line Your Lips (and shape them!) With Drugstore Products!

Today I was bombarded with messages from you beautiful people about lipstick stuff! ( I say bombarded in an SUPER lovingly way! :D)
So I thought I’d show you guys how I do my lips in a step by step tutorial.
You’ll only needs three things: Lipstick, lip liner, and concealer/foundation. Lip gloss is optional!

I used Glamoflauge concealer by Hard Candy, Nyx lip liner pencil in Red Hot and Revlon Lipstick in Raspberry Bite!

First what you need to do is make sure your lips are moisturized. I put on some carmex for this!

Next, gather up your concealer or foundation! Brush it all over your lips to create a perfect canvas. This look is what we call ” I eat powdered donuts all day.” Please do not leave your look at this!

Now that we have our somewhat perfect base, wait for it to dry for a bit. Then take your lip liner and start outlining where you want your lips to be! I followed my natural shape for the most part. Use small strokes to keep a straight and clean edge, you’ll be surprise when you see the lip liner doing what you want! It is pretty simple :).

Once you have your lip liner applied you can fill in the rest of your lips, or just blend it in. I just blended it using my finger and staying away from the edges!

Now all you need to do is carefully fill it in with your lipstick! Be careful when going over your lip liner edge. :)

And voila! You are done!

New Years Eve Makeup Tutorial! Cut crease edition!

I love holidays and I usually go all out. They only come around a few years so I love to have fun with my makeup!

Products I used:

  • Almay Intense I-Color powder shadow in Trio for Hazels. I used the top white-silver shimmery color.
  • Wet N Wild Blue Had Me At Hello. I used the Matte Black.
  • Mac Sea and Sky
  • Silver Fog pigment by Mac
  • Mac Black Track Fluidline
  • Some random eyelases
  •  A light purple pigment ( don’t know the name of it anymore, but it’s from mac! I think it was in one of their “Stacked” collections)
  • What I did:
  1. Primed them ‘balls, baby!
  2. Picked up a very dark blue color on a pencil brush and drew out my crease, extending past the edge of my eye, very carefully. I wanted it to say fairly precise since underneath that line I would be making a very obvious clean edge.
  3. Used my light purple with a large fluffy brush to blend the blue out to RIGHT underneath my brow bone.
  4. Highlighted brow with a soft whiteish silver color.
  5. Used Macs Fix+ to wet my shader brush and apply my silver to my lid. I packed it on and kept my line on my crease very clean!
  6. Pulled my silver out underneath my wing.
  7. Used a very small liner brush to pick up some matte black. I used the matte black to give the blue color some definition and to separate it even further from the silver.
  8. Drew a black line extending out from my bottom lashes, parallel with my cut crease.
  9. Lashes!
  10. Mascara!
  11. Very thin line on upper lid.
  12. Fill in waterline.
  13. Draw on outer corner of your lower lid with the matte black.
  14. Blend the matte black into the blue you used for your crease.
  15. Finally, blend in with the silver in your inner corner!

Make sure everything is cleaned up and you’re good to go! :)
