Dupe alert…. ;D detailed post including swatches coming tomorrow!
WOO!
SO MUCH BB CREAM!
I’m so excited to get my Skin79 one to compare!
First look:
Garnier: Very limited shade range and the lightest one feels a bit dark for me, thick and creamy though!
Loreal: Moderate shade range. Gritty texture at first.
Maybelline: Largest variety of shades, touches darker skin colors too which seems to be a rare thing at drugstores. Very liquid-y and extremely sheer. Least impressed with this one so far. We’ll see how the wear goes!

The Essence 2 in 1 eyeliner pen retails for $1.99 at Ulta or Fred Myers.
The packaging is a double ended thin stick with two caps on each of the tips. It’s a very sturdy plastic with a semi-weighted feel, making it feel as though it costs much more than just 2 bucks!
The two ends look like this:
A thick end to create dramatic eyeliner looks
And:
A skinny applicator to create thin and precise lines.
The formula is just a TAD bit thin, however going over your line twice will give you a full opaque coverage.
Here’s some of the lines I drew with the applicators!
(top three; skinny end, bottom three; thick end.)
Overall I rate this a 7/10!
Drugstore Haul!
So, I went sort of crazy at Fred Myers on nail polishes because… well… I wanted to. I like to shop when I am stressed and what better way to cure it with makeup? :D
EVERYTHING I BOUGHT FROM ESSENCE WAS HALF OFF. All of the nail polishes from Essence? $0.49. Yeah, that’s right, less than 50 cents. Wet n Wild products were buy 2 get one free so I had to pick up some lipsticks!
Products from left to right:
Essence Single Eyeshadows in Party All Night and Shrimp Me Up.
I found these eyeshadows at Fred Meyer’s after they just set up a display of Essence. I’ve always thought that this brand was adorable and have purchased a few things here and there but this product has REALLY stuck out to me!
Despite their price and crummy packaging, this is a fantastic product. The formula’s are extremely smooth, have a great color pay off, and stay on your eyes. At 2-3 bucks a pop, I don’t see what could go wrong with them!
Party All Night is a grey-brown shimmery color, similar to Mac’s Satin Taupe. It can be worn alone for a perfect multidimensional and glamourous look. I was pleasantly surprised to see how much of a quality eyeshadow this was!
Shrimp Me Up is a fantastic coral, it looks very similar to Mac’s Sushi Flower. The finish is a frost and it works wonderfully to blend out the harsh edges of an orange eyeshadow.
Wet ‘n’ Wild Limited Edition Fauna Collection!
This cute little kit includes
I was excited to get this because it only costs 5 bucks, I’ve never tried their blushes or Glassy Glosses, and I usually love their eyeshadows!
I’m sad to say I was a bit disappointing though. The shadows intensity was not as fantastic as other Wet n Wild products I’ve used, it was surprising to me! The purple had the HARDEST time swatching and so did the teal. I really enjoy the “browbone” color though! It’s really pretty, light, and springy to me.
The blush is adorable and is probably my favorite thing out of the bunch. I like the slim design it has. The color pay off is great and it lasts a while! I’ll probably purchase some full sized ones later on.
The lipgloss was NOT something I enjoyed. It felt sticky, was runny, had very little color to it, AND the taste was horrible. I am very picky about glosses though and have always preferred lipsticks so maybe I’m just biased.
The Nail color is cute, I love the Fast Dry line from Wet n Wild. They dry quickly, takes 2-3 coats to apply, and have awesome colors. Teal or No Teal is a really fun and bright turquoise color that I can see myself wearing this spring!
All in all, I’m really sad about the eyeshadow trio not being as fantastic as some of their other shadows, the gloss wasn’t fantastic, but I do really love the nail polish and blush!

Haul time!
I stopped at Grocery Outlet, which is a super awesome- yet ghetto- place to buy some groceries and home things. They always have drugstore makeup there FOR SUPER CHEAP! As you can see, I bought 3 normally 8-9 dollar items for less than 3 dollars! Along with the blush/bronzer/highlight I purchased a Maybelline eyebrow pencil and and Elf eyeshadow primer which I’ve never tried before and will soon have a review on.
The Revlon bronzer was a bit dissapointing. Very sheer and a very odd texture but it is blendable and would look amazing on fair skin for a subtle tint of color.
The Maybelline “blush” in Stage Glow is a glittery highlight color that I’m not sure what I’ll use for… I’ll find something!
The other Maybelline blush is this GORGEOUS deep red color. When applied lightly on fair skin it gives the appearance of a sunburn, which in some cases in my opinion can almost be a bit sexy! a bit of bronzer and a VERY light dusting of this on the bridge of your nose and cheek bones with liven up that wintery gray colored skin I have in a jiffy. It’s also perfect for the “hi I’m sexy and dirty because I’m in the hit TV series of Lost.”
They eyebrow pencil is just an eyebrow pencil, I love Maybelline for these!
Anything you’d guys like me to talk about more in depth? :)
Elf beauty book, and obvious dupe for UD Naked! And much, much cheaper!
